Steeped in history and character, St Ninian’s Manse is believed to be the oldest surviving building in Leith, with origins reaching back to 1493. Crowned by Edinburgh’s only remaining 17th‑century timber steeple, it once formed the entrance to St Ninian’s Chapel before the surrounding site evolved into a bustling mill complex in the 19th century.
Between 1996 and 2002, the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust undertook an extensive restoration, preserving the Manse and neighbouring Quayside Mills while transforming them into distinctive waterfront office spaces. Today, St Ninian’s Manse blends centuries‑old heritage with modern usability, offering a rare opportunity to work within one of Leith’s most significant historic landmarks.
