I’ve spent more than 13 years running and growing award‑winning flexible workspaces across Scotland, most recently as General Manager of Clockwise Offices amazing Edinburgh Leith location , prior to that working as Head of Kingsford Office a boutique 4 location coworking, serviced and managed office brand in the city centre, Area Manager for 3-5 business parks’ offering managed offices and light industrial to rent in central Scotland. I started my career front of house with IWG plc, before moving onto Centre /Community Manager at various locations in Fife and Edinburgh.

I never set out with a grand plan to start my own business. Your Flex Expert came from experience, frustration with the current broker landscape, and a genuine belief that Scotland deserved a more thoughtful and locally informed approach to flexible workspace.

After years working inside the industry, I saw the same problems repeating themselves. At the same time, my personal life was changing in a way that made me rethink what I wanted my future to look like. All of that combined pushed me to take the step into building something of my own.

My Background in Flexible Workspace

My career has always centred around people, service, and commercial growth. Over the years I’ve led sales and operations teams, managed multiple workspace locations, and helped operators build environments that genuinely support the businesses and communities using them.

Why I Felt Scotland Needed Something Different

The decision to launch Your Flex Expert wasn’t sudden. It built up over time as I watched the fast growing Scottish flexible workspace market being underserved in ways that didn’t sit right with me.

Scotland Treated as a Lower Priority

Many of the major workspace brokers are based in London. They do important work, but the reality is that Scotland often ends up as a lower priority. I saw businesses waiting too long for responses, being matched with unsuitable spaces, or simply not being understood because the person advising them didn’t know the local market.

Scotland’s workspace landscape is different. Our cities, towns, transport links, and business communities don’t operate the same way as London or Manchester. Without local insight, the advice simply isn’t good enough.
