what is it like living and working in haymarket

Brilliantly Connected

Haymarket and Edinburgh’s West End offer one of the city’s best combinations of connectivity, character and commercial opportunity. Centered around the newly redeveloped Haymarket Station, the area provides fast rail, tram and bus links across Scotland, making it ideal for commuters, client meetings and growing teams. The West End is known for its elegant Georgian streets, boutique shops, independent cafés and a thriving professional community, attracting businesses in finance, tech, consulting and creative industries.

With major developments such as Haymarket Square bringing new offices, hotels and amenities, the area continues to evolve as a modern business district. Professionals and freelancers benefit from excellent coworking options, high‑quality serviced offices and a wide choice of places to eat, meet and unwind. Whether you’re relocating your business or looking for flexible workspace, Haymarket and the West End offer a well‑connected, vibrant and prestigious base in the heart of Edinburgh.

Haymarket and The West End of Edinburgh are brilliantly connected Neighbourhoods.

Haymarket train station and the two tram stops in the area make getting around the city a doodle.

In addition, Edinburgh Airport is just a 19-minute drive away. Princes Street and George Street are just a short walk or tram away.

The area is packed with bars, restaurants, hotels and coffee shops.  One hidden gem is the nearby Dean Village a historic and beautiful ‘village’ within the city.

Flexible Workspace in Haymarket , West End

Haymarket & The West End of Edinburgh has many options for workspace.

Many are boutique townhouses offering small and medium serviced office with period features in Walker Street, Lansdowne Crescent and Rutland Square.

For larger businesses a number of modern office space developments exist, including Haymarket Square.

Coworking is still rare in this area with spaces closer to the New Town or Fountainbridge areas.
